Hello Tara! Brynlee looks so good in her new chair. Hope you get to go home very soon. About the RT's:yeah, it's sad that most of them are not familiar with the CA or they are always in a rush because they usually have a huge caseload. Whenever Jojo goes to PICU, we do the treatments ourselves; they hand us the meds and we take care of everything. Of course not all hospitals are the same. On a different note, I just read on SMAspace about another Mom asking about petechiae (Kaitlyn Hatchard's MOm). I mentioned you on her forum; I hope you dont mind. Take care...Jojo's Mom
I'm just following up on your last post -- if you want to be with her you can demand that they give you a pull out chair bed! You have every right to be there with her if she is desating. Gwendolyn is always fine as long as I am there, too. I know you will do what is best for you, but I just wanted to give your an SMA-Mommy hug to let you know I understand when hospitals are so frustrating.
Our kiddo's just want their mommas. I do her treatment during the day while I am there, which is why she does so good during the day. Its just frustrating that the other RTs just can't figure it out. I did ask them for a pull out chair but the spot we are in there is no room for a chair. I finally told them last night that they had better find Brynlee her own room or one on the floor because its just getting silly not being with her anymore!
